This site is an outgrowth of the weekly newsletters I have been sending for the past three years. My motivation in producing the newsletters is to share my sense of excitement I find in nature.
When I was a kid I spent most of my summers along the Sassafrass river which is a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. This is where I discovered the drop of nectar in Honeysuckle flowers. I also learned that its not a good idea to catch blue crabs bare handed. The most important lesson I learned, and am continuing to learn, is the wonderful diversity of nature.
Today I still bring home creatures but they are in the form of digital images .
